Kazakhstan offered Israel to use the potential of ICBC "KHorgos"

On October 13, 2021, the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov met with the Minister of Tourism of Israel Yoel Razvozov.

During the negotiations, Bakhyt Sultanov reported on the implementation of networks of border industrial trade and logistics hubs that will serve as reference points of a single Eurasian commodity distribution system with geographical coverage of the EAEU countries and Central Asia with further prospects for expansion.

"Currently, a National commodity distribution System is being formed in Kazakhstan, which includes 24 ORCS and 6 cross-border trade and logistics, industrial hubs. The purpose of the development of cross-border hubs is to promote the development of the potential of cross-border cooperation and integration, stimulate the growth of entrepreneurship, create additional jobs and form sustainable value chains. From this position, the ICTES "Central Asia", the Dry port "kHorgos" and the port of Kuryk act as the so-called centers-regulators of overland cargo transportation within the international corridors "North-South" and "East-West," the minister said.

Sultanov suggested that the Israeli side consider using the potential of ICBC "kHorgos" to attract Israeli investment, as well as use it as a platform for wholesale and retail exports to the PRC market.

Recall that the advantages of the FEZ "ICBC "kHorgos" are access to the market of the People's Republic of China and the EAEU, visa-free regime, tax benefits provided to the participants of the FEZ, duty-free trade, availability of ready-made engineering and transport infrastructure.
