"QazTrade" presented its capabilities to the Spain-kAzakhstan Business Council

JSC "QazTrade" co-organized the showroom "Made in Kazakhstan" within the framework of the 6th meeting of the Business Council "Kazakhstan - Spain" in Madrid on October 5, 2021.

The meeting of the Council was attended by Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev, the delegation of the Baiterek holding, headed by the Co-Chairman of the Business Council from Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Board Aidar Arifkhanov, Deputy Akim of Pavlodar region S. Shayakhmetov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Spain Konstantin Zhigalov, Secretary of State of Spain for Trade K.Mendez, heads of state bodies and business of the two countries.

Director of the Project Development Department of JSC "QazTrade" Aibek Sagynayev spoke at the plenary session of the Business Council and presented the opportunities of exporters of Kazakhstan who receive a wide range of necessary state support measures through the QazTrade single window.

Sagynayev noted that QazTrade, together with other development institutions, is actively working to attract foreign investors to export-oriented projects in Kazakhstan. He expressed readiness to cooperate in the implementation of projects jointly with Spanish business.

QazTrade is ready to prepare a "market study", market analysis of the goods of interest, the potential and forecast of the industry development, contacts of existing exporters on issues of cooperation," Sagynayev said.

Within the framework of the event, Kazakhstani companies presented their products and services to Spanish counter-partners to discuss export opportunities and the implementation of joint projects. Trial products, catalogs and a detailed presentation of the following domestic companies were presented at the event - Metallogamma LLP, YDD Corporation LLP, Qazcarbon LLP, LLPCerebra.ai Ltd", Masak Export LLP, Firm Dikanshy LLP, CEECAT Capital Almaty LLP, Tulpar Car Building Plant LLP, First Credit Bureau. The presentation of the Kazakh business aroused great interest of the Spanish side.

 

Thus, the exhibition was attended by more than 80 representatives of Spanish companies, associations and retailers - MAXAM, Matachana Group, COFIDES, Aqualia, Margon, Centunion, as well as members of the Chamber of Commerce of Spain. At the showroom site of LLP "Cerebra.ai Ltd" an agreement was reached to present their solutions to a number of Spanish medical holdings - HM Hospitales, Vithas Sanidad, Tecnove; LLP "Tulpar Car Building Plant" held negotiations with major players in the railway industry Margon, Actia Systems; Metallogamma LLP, YDD Corporation LLP, Qazcarbon LLP held a round of negotiations with Spanish companies Electratermia, Sotrafa, Eskz Global.

 

The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Spain in January-August 2021 amounted to 1.3 billion US dollars, which is 68% higher than in the same period of the previous year (0.8 billion US dollars). Exports from Kazakhstan to Spain in January-August 2021 increased by 83.8% and amounted to 1.1 billion US dollars. Imports to Kazakhstan from Spain in January-August 2021 decreased by 4.9% and amounted to $ 127.2 million.
