Regarding the anti-dumping investigation with respect to virgin high density polyethylene originating in the Republic of Uzbekistan
In addition to the press release published https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/mti/press/news/details/227030?lang=ru on July 8, 2021, we inform that the Eurasian Economic Commission has prepared a report on the results of an anti-dumping investigation with respect to virgin high density polyethylene originating in the Republic of Uzbekistan .
The conclusions, presented in the Report, indicate the presence of dumped import of virgin high density polyethylene from the Republic of Uzbekistan and the resulting material injury to the economy sector of the EAEU.
In this regard, the Eurasian Economic Commission proposes to introduce with respect to virgin high density polyethylene from the Republic of Uzbekistan an anti-dumping measure in the form of an anti-dumping duty in the amount of 20,3% of the customs value for a period of 5 years.
For reference: on July 27, 2020 the Eurasian Economic Commission launched an anti-dumping investigation against virgin high density polyethylene originating in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The object of the investigation is virgin polyethylene in solid primary form with a specific gravity of 0.94 g/cm3 or more, originating in the Republic of Uzbekistan, classified by EAEU HS code 3901 20 900 9.
In this regard, if the application of an anti-dumping measure against virgin high density polyethylene, imported from the Republic of Uzbekistan, may lead to negative consequences, we ask Kazakhstani enterprises consuming the mentioned raw materials to contact the Ministry at the following contacts: 74-36-87, 74-29-86, m.kobenov@mti.gov.kz, e.syzdykova@mti.gov.kz.
