A working meeting was held between representatives of JSC «CTPD «QazTrade», JSC «NC «KTZh» and its subsidiary company JSC «KTZ Express», JSC «Russian Railways Logistics» and JSC «Russian Export Center».
The parties discussed the progress of the project to create a logistics service «Eurasian Agroexpress». The project involves the accelerated delivery of agricultural products by rail (standard and temperature-controlled) from Central Asia to Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation. The possibility of South-North routes is also being considered: products from the Central Asian region and Kazakhstan for further export to the Russian Federation, Belarus, China and third countries, and the West-East route (Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan to China).
REC representatives informed the Kazakh side of the successful Russian experience of previously organized agroexpress trains. The meeting also discussed further activities for the implementation of the project. The parties agreed to approve competitive tariffs for transportation in the given directions as soon as possible. Following the meeting, a decision was made to conclude a Memorandum of Cooperation in the development of the «Eurasian Agroexpress» project.
The participation of the Kazakh side in the project will increase the export of domestic agricultural products to Russia, Belarus, China and the countries of Central Asia. Cooperation in the project is supposed to be based on the principles of equal participation of all participants, which ensures the balance of interests of Kazakh exporters.
