Press release on the results of the seminar on the topic "Investment opportunities of the FEZ "ICBC" Khorgos "and the Pilot zone of regional trade and economic cooperation "China-SCO"

On September 23, 2021, JSC "MC FEZ" ICBC "Khorgos" together with the Management Company of the Pilot Zone of Regional Trade and Economic Cooperation "China-SCO" organized an online seminar for the business communities of Kazakhstan and China.

The seminar was attended by 15 Kazakhstani companies and more than 20 Chinese companies, as well as speakers were attended by the General Representative of the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Kazakhstan – Mr. GaoQi, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade of the People's Republic of China in XUAR Province – Mr. XuePing.

Within the framework of the online seminar, investment opportunities of the FEZ "ICBC "Khorgos" and the Pilot Zone of Regional trade and Economic Cooperation "China-SCO"were presented. In addition, Kazakh companies "MeatProcessingandService" LLP and "QZSilkRoadLogistic" LLP presented their investment opportunities.

The Chinese side has shown interest in importing Kazakhstani food products such as dairy, meat and agricultural products.

Within the framework of the online seminar, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between JSC "MC FEZ "ICBC "Khorgos" and the Pilot Zone of regional trade and Economic Cooperation "China-SCO". Within the framework of the memorandum, both sides plan to develop cooperation in the field of joint investment projects, export and import development, as well as regularly hold joint events for Kazakh and Chinese enterprises.
