Kazakhstan exported engineering products by 33.6% more

"For 7 months of this year, Kazakhstan exported machine-building products in the amount of 741.8 million US dollars, which is 33.6% more than in the same period of 2020," Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Zhanel Kushukova said today during the Forum of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan.
She noted that the main markets for machine-building products manufactured in Kazakhstan are our closest partners, the CIS countries, as well as a number of EU countries, the United States and the United Kingdom. The top five importers in 2021 included Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belgium and Turkmenistan.
Speaking about plans for the future, the Vice Minister said that thanks to the growth of production, "we expect that in 2025 we will be able to reach the volume of exports of machine-building products up to 2.9 billion US dollars."
At the same time, the most export-oriented products of the machine-building industry are bearings, of which about 93% are exported.
"In addition, we see a good demand in foreign markets for domestic electric batteries, 72% of which are exported, as well as transformers, half of whose manufactured products are also exported.
If we talk about the Russian market, about 96% of all imports of tank cars are Kazakhstani products. Almost 45% of the Russian import of bearings is also occupied by domestic goods.
At the same time, Kazakhstan's capacitors account for more than half of the imports of similar goods imported to the Uzbek market. We have already established good relations with Uzbekistan in the development of the domestic automotive industry, " the representative of MIT said about the potential of Kazakhstani manufacturers in international trade.
