Losses of the trade industry were compensated – Minister Sultanov

Today, during his speech at a Government meeting, Bakhyt Sultanov spoke about the situation in trade.

Thus, according to the results of 8 months of this year, there is a positive trend in the trade industry.

"For example, the index of the physical volume of gross value added in trade amounted to 109.1%, which almost compensates for the losses of the industry in 2020," the head of the department said.

Active development continues in e-commerce. The share of e-commerce in the total retail trade for the 1st half of this year was 12.2%, which is 2.5 percentage points higher than in 2020.

In conclusion, Bakhyt Sultanov noted that the indicators of the development of domestic trade indicate that the business has adapted to the current conditions and is developing further.
