He arrived in Baku with a large delegation.

A trade and economic mission will be held here, where our companies engaged in the food industry, mechanical engineering, IT, medicine, metal rolling, petrochemicals, production of construction materials and equipment will take part. An impressive composition.

By the way, while we were flying, a local Azerbaijani company working in the field of IT solutions applied: it is looking for business partners and manufacturers in Kazakhstan.

Our companies will present their products and export opportunities to all countries of the Turkic world – our mission takes place during the 10th meeting of the Ministers of Economy and Trade of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic-speaking States.
I recently read a critical assessment of the work of trade and economic missions. Like, there is no effect. I don't agree with that. For 6 TEM since the beginning of the year, 40 contracts for 163 million US dollars have already been signed. Another hundred million is expected from new contracts – they are now at the stage of preparation for signing. I agree that participation in the trade and economic mission does not provide a 100% guarantee of concluding contracts, but personal ties between businesses from different countries are being established.

While the business is getting to know each other, my colleagues from Azerbaijan and I will hold the next 11th meeting of the intergovernmental commission. The agenda includes issues covering almost all areas of trade and economic cooperation. This includes the creation of a platform for dialogue between the business circles of the two countries - the "Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan Business Council".

Today we have bilateral meetings with the heads of the Azerbaijani ministries of economy, defense industry, transport, communications and high technologies.

As far as possible, I will inform you about the progress of the negotiations.
