The new state control will provide the domestic market with safe products

The mission of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan is to ensure the safety and quality of products, services and processes, to prevent actions misleading about their safety and quality, to protect the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, legal entities and the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan from the consequences of unreliable measurement results.

The Committee implements the state policy in the field of technical regulation, standardization and ensuring the uniformity of measurements, the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on accreditation in the field of conformity assessment.

So, for 6 months of this year, the departments of the Committee conducted 189 inspections, violations were detected in 109 cases, which is 58 %.

As a result of the inspections, 91 orders were issued and fines were imposed in the amount of more than 34 million tenge, 4 certificates and declarations issued by the EAEU member states (food, PPE, toys) were canceled and 5 "gray" fake certificates (light industry) were suppressed.

Over the past five years, there have been signals from the population, business, and Atameken NPP that the market has remained uncontrolled, a significant volume of products being traded is unsafe.

Taking into account the changes that have taken place, namely, the legislative consolidation of the competence of the Committee as a state body that monitors and supervises compliance with the requirements of technical regulations, the Committee faces great tasks.

The mechanism of preventive control without visiting is being launched, covering 120 groups of controlled products, 180 thousand economic entities (according to the statistics portal), more than 1 thousand accreditation subjects, NCE "Atameken" and more than 40 expert organizations for determining the country of origin of goods.

A large layer of work will be carried out within the framework of professional control with visits to more than 400 thousand subjects of control and supervision, including more than 129 thousand subjects of wholesale and retail trade and 38.2 thousand. Metrological enterprises.

A significant amount of work is taken up by monitoring the sale of jewelry and the activities of assay chambers.(more than 1,1 thousand sellers).

As part of the "E-window" work, data on imported products coming from the SRC is checked with the register of certificates (declarations), which is maintained by the NCA for their reliability.

Today, ensuring the safety of products and the reliability of measurement results is directly related to the activities of manufacturers, importers, sellers, as well as certification bodies, laboratories. In this connection, it is necessary for everyone to comply with the requirements of laws in the field of technical regulation.
