Alibaba.com is the world's leading global B2B wholesale platform serving more than 160 million buyers and suppliers in 190 countries. With Alibaba.com, entrepreneurs can ship their products to companies in over 200 countries around the world.
With signed memorandum, the Parties plan to cooperate in promoting the export of Kazakhstans companies among Alibaba.com users, assist companies in their operation on the platform, organize monthly trainings, and promote the digital transformation of Kazakhstan's goods suppliers.
“Over the past two years, we have already formed a productive cooperation. Thanks to the Alibaba Program, 100 Kazakhstan's companies were able to remotely offer their goods to buyers from all over the world. The total sales have already amounted to $45 million, these are food products, textiles, honey and much more,” Vice Minister Torebaev noted in his welcoming speech.
In 2019-2020, 100 domestic manufacturing enterprises were provided with the Gold Supplier account. The Gold Supplier status is a special premium status that gives suppliers the opportunity of complex promotion on the marketplace, which, in turn, leads to an increase in audience coverage, customer engagement and a quick return on funds invested in promotion.
“In the pandemic and post-pandemic periods, digital platforms have become the most accessible, low-cost and fastest tool for selling worldwide. The scale of operations is expected to grow every year. In this regard, cooperation with one of the largest international trading platforms for Kazakhstan’s suppliers is crucial in increasing the recognition of domestic products among platform users, ”commented the General Director of QazTrade JSC.
Using the capabilities of the marketplace, Kazakhstan’s suppliers are increasing the export of domestic goods around the world.
Last year, the Alibaba.com distribution channel carried out export of frozen meat to the UAE; grain products to China and Bangladesh; bioproducts-probiotics to the CIS countries; light industry products to the countries of Eastern Europe, carbon filters to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Macedonia, etc. For the first time Kazakhstan exported honey to Singapore. Domestic companies have signed export contracts worth more than $ 45 million.
Currently, more than 4 thousand Kazakhstan’s goods are placed on Alibaba.com trading platform: pasta, flour, honey, confectionery, meat, drinks, vegetable oils, furniture, clothing, goods for children and much more.
