Kazakhstan and Russia discuss "green corridor" for agroexpress

Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev and General Director of JSC "Russian Export Center" Veronika Nikishina discussed the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the formation of the Eurasian commodity distribution system and the flow of goods from Central Asia-Kazakhstan-Russia.

- Both our countries are working on the issue of uninterrupted supply of goods from the south. We need to coordinate and synchronize this work, including solving the issues of forming favorable transit tariffs along the entire corridor from Russia to Afghanistan, " said Kairat Torebayev.

The parties noted that the joint study of this issue will ensure the stability of the functioning of the markets of the two countries.

- The agrologistic corridor "Russia – Uzbekistan" should become a trilateral one, because commodity cargo flows pass through the territory of Kazakhstan. We will have to synchronize the work of the regulatory authorities so that the trains run without long delays, this is critically important for the delivery of perishable products. Thus, we will give the business of the three countries competitive advantages and significantly increase the trade turnover between our countries, " Veronika Nikishina emphasized.

They also discussed the implementation of joint projects in industrial cooperation on the basis of the international border centers of trade and economic cooperation "Khorgos" and Central Asia". In particular, for the subsequent promotion of jointly produced products to the markets of third countries, including Central and South Asia and China.

In order to coordinate work on these issues and exchange experience in promoting exports, the parties agreed to conclude a Partnership Agreement in the near future between JSC "Center for the Development of Trade Policy "Qaztrade"" and JSC "Russian Export Center".

 

 

The meeting was held as part of the participation of Vice Minister of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev in the XII International Economic Summit "Russia-the Islamic World: KazanSummit 2021".

Within the framework of the summit, the Trade and Economic Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kazakh-Russian business forum are being held.
