At the meeting, in particular, the issue of creating a National Consumer Association was raised, which will help reformat the institution of associations on the principle of "from quantity to quality". At the same time, the state's participation in the resolution of consumer disputes is minimized.

The Interdepartmental Council was established under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in October 2020. Its main function is to protect consumer rights, evaluate the activities of government agencies and non-governmental organizations in the field of consumer protection, as well as develop proposals and recommendations on consumer rights protection. The activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are provided by the Committee for the Protection of Consumer Rights.

Meetings of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are held at least once a year, where the results of the work of state bodies in the field of consumer protection are discussed, gaps in existing practice are identified and appropriate proposals are made.

The activities of this advisory and advisory body are transparent and available on the Committee's website, in the Adilet information and legal system. The Council is open for discussion and making proposals that can improve the system of consumer protection.
