(Negotiations in Kiev. Continued...)
Promoting the interests of Kazakhstan, he held a number of meetings with the leadership of the Ukrainian government.
We checked the hours with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mr. Denis Shmygal, on all topical issues of bilateral cooperation.
Now all countries face the main task - to open up after covid bans. And the main thing in achieving it is mass vaccination of the population.
Kazakhstan is one of the few countries producing its own vaccine against the Covid-19 coronavirus. Although our QazVac is still undergoing the required procedures, it has already shown a fairly high efficiency.
We are ready to provide supplies of the vaccine, if Kiev is interested.
We also discussed this at a meeting with the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, Viktor Lyashko.
With the restoration of economic activity, the issue of increasing the volume of mutual trade is particularly relevant. I acquainted the head of the government with the main agreements following the meeting of the Interstate Commission. All of them are aimed at increasing mutual trade turnover.
We discussed with Mr. Shmygal the prospect of supplying railway products that Ukrzaliznytsia needs.
He suggested that Ukrainian businesses should use our centers of cross-border cooperation more actively. Through the ICBC "Khorgos", Ukrainian producers can enter the Chinese market.
For us, the Ukrainian experience in the field of agriculture is very important. Especially in the introduction of advanced agricultural technologies and innovations.
The IT industry has great potential. Both Ukraine and Kazakhstan have made great strides in the development of electronic services. We discussed the exchange of experience and the prospect of modern projects with the Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Digital Transformation, Mr. Mikhail Fedorov.
The conversation was interesting and substantive - as part of our delegation, specialists from the Ministry of Digital Development of Kazakhstan and domestic manufacturers of IT programs came to Kiev.
The topic of digitization of public services became the main one at the meeting. We agreed to identify promising areas of cooperation for joint projects.
By the way, Ukraine is interested in our photo/video recording system of the Sergek program. Mr. Fedorov even told the President of Ukraine about it.
We also told the minister about other successful projects in Kazakhstan: Documentolog, Damumed., BTS, etc.
He suggested that Ukrainian IT companies consider the possibility of placing an engineering office in Kazakhstan on the basis of "Astana Hub".
Returning to chrysotile asbestos.
I raised this topic at a meeting with the Ukrainian Prime Minister. We need to hold bilateral expert consultations.
Negotiations in Kiev are continuing. The program includes meetings with representatives of Ukrainian business and "luring" investments to Kazakhstan
