Kazakhstan is one of the 15 registered Hubs of World Logistics Passport. From our country, the customs authority of Almaty, ICBC "Khorgos" and "Network Synergy" LLP have already joined the program as partners.
According to the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov, Kazakhstan sees great potential for entering the markets of other countries by connecting to the WLP Hubs in other countries and increasing the connectivity of trade and transport systems.
The Minister said that our country considers the Central Asian region as promising areas, as well as the Indian market, where Kazakh traders and logistics companies can get access by registering in the Indian WLP Hub.
"The involvement of more participants in the WLP program will also increase the transit potential of Kazakhstan, including within the framework of the "One Belt and One Road" initiative, " Sultanov said.
The Minister also said that the Republic of Kazakhstan has created all the necessary infrastructure to ensure the smooth movement of export-import and transit trade flows. The ongoing work on its improvement will allow Kazakhstan to strengthen its status as a trade and logistics hub of the region.
"Even now, the land routes through Kazakhstan have shown their competitiveness. This year, the transit will exceed the strategic limit of one million containers, including 700 thousand TEU* in the direction of Asia-Europe, " the Minister of Trade of Kazakhstan said.
