Over 6 years, Kazakhstan's exports to the EAEU countries increased by 25%

"Exports to the EAEU member states in 2015-2020 increased by 25% or from 5.1 to 6.4 billion dollars: to Russia-by 25%, to Belarus-by 2 times, to Kyrgyzstan - by 20%, to Armenia-by 6 times," Vice Minister of Trade and Integration Janel Kushukova said at a briefing in the CCS.

According to the Vice-Minister, increasing the volume of mutual trade in the EAEU allows reducing such costs for business as reducing the documentary burden on exports by eliminating customs declaration, mutual recognition of certificates of conformity, veterinary and sanitary documents.

According to her, the range of export goods has changed and expanded in general.

"If in the first years of independence, our colleagues in the post-Soviet space considered us by tradition as a supplier of raw materials-coal, grain, metals, then with the beginning of the functioning of the EAEU, we increased our supplies to the markets of the partner countries of processed products," the Vice-Minister said.

In 2015-2020, the growth of exports of non-primary goods to the EAEU countries amounted to 35% (from 2.8 to 3.7 billion US dollars). In general, about 10% of Kazakhstan's exports are sent to the EAEU member states. 58% of these volumes are processed products.
In 2020, the supply of fruit and vegetable products to Russian retail chains exceeded 2.3 billion US dollars. According to the Ministry of Trade, the potential for increasing the annual supply of food products to the Russian market alone exceeds 100 billion tenge.
