A unique measuring instrument appeared in Kazakhstan

A unique anechoic chamber for measuring the parameters of electromagnetic waves was presented in Nur-Sultan. The chamber is a closed and completely noiseless room, in which a uniform distribution of sound vibrations is achieved with complete sound and noise isolation, unattainable in natural conditions, in order to eliminate inaccuracies in measurements.

The walls and ceiling of the chamber are made of 2 mm thick sheet steel and covered with a low-reflectance radio-absorbing material.

Tests in an anechoic chamber are necessary to confirm the compliance of Kazakhstani products with national and international standards in order to open them access to the markets of the EAEU and other countries.

There are no analogues of such an anechoic chamber in any of the CIS countries.

The opening ceremony of the unique facility on May 13, 2021 attended by the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bakhyt Sultanov.

Speaking to domestic manufacturers, B. Sultanov noted that Kazakhstan industrialists and entrepreneurs received an outstanding tool for the development of trade and economic ties. The testing laboratory for electromagnetic compatibility allows testing various types of equipment with the highest accuracy - from handheld computers and cell phones to large-sized products. There are only 15 such testing centers in the world, and now Kazakhstani producers will be able to test their products domestically, which will reduce the cost of putting it into circulation by up to 30%.

According to the head of the RSE "KazStandard" Gabit Mukhambetov, at the presentation of Kazakhstan's activities in the field of metrology, similar tests in the EU countries (Turkey, Germany) cost several times more. At the same time, the same international standards ISO 61000 series are used to determine the safety of indicators. Thus, we can say that domestic manufacturers can reduce their costs up to 5 times.

In addition, conducting tests on electromagnetic compatibility allows us to guarantee the residents of the country the safety of the technical means used and to exclude the circulation of counterfeit and unsafe products on the Kazakhstan market.

On the same day, a test of a car of the Kazakh automobile industry was carried out in an anechoic chamber.

In general, this test center is capable of accepting vehicles of all categories with a total weight of up to 16 tons and overall dimensions of 30 x 21 x 10 m.

The anechoic chamber allows performing a whole range of test operations: testing of electronic devices, in particular, on-board equipment of airplanes and helicopters; carry out research work; carry out test tests in the production of industrial products; perform tasks in the field of information security and others.
