The Ministry of Trade prepares Kazakhstani manufacturers for the exhibition " Kazan EXPO»

April 29, 2021. Kazan. Today, Kazakhstan and Tatarstan are discussing the development of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres. Thus, the Trade Mission of Kazakhstan in Russia organized a number of meetings between the heads of Kazakh and Tatar companies and departments.

During his visit to the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov held a meeting with the Head of the Tatarstan Agency for Investment Development Taliya Minullina.

 

Bakhyt Sultanov and Taliya Minullina exchanged views and discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in the trade, economic and investment spheres.

During the discussion of cooperation within the framework of the ICBC Khorgos "Eastern Gate", the Minister of Trade proposed to consider the possibility of developing industrial cooperation on the territory of the ICBC, taking into account the transit potential of Kazakhstan.

The parties also discussed the current investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Tatarstan, as well as joint export-oriented projects.

As noted, today Kazakhstan receives a new incentive for the development of the production of finished products, as well as the deepening of value chains. This trend is demonstrated by the KamaTyresKZ project, which is being implemented in the Kazakh city of Saran. The project is associated with the production of tires worth about $ 284 million, with a total production capacity of 3.5 million. tires per year. The plant's products will be sold both in Kazakhstan and in foreign markets.

In this regard, B. Sultanov noted that at the moment, a pool of promising investment projects focused on export is being formed on the basis of QazTrade. In this regard, Tatarstan companies interested in creating joint ventures can also use the services of a "Single Window" for exporters.

In addition, B. Sultanov noted the implementation of a joint project with PJSC "Kamaz" for the production of cast automotive components. In recent years, the automotive industry has become a new growth point in Kazakhstan, increasing the export of finished products only for the 1st quarter of 2021 by 84%, exporting 1,968 JAC and Chevrolet cars to Russia and Uzbekistan.

In addition, today T. I. Minnulina officially presented the Minister of Trade with an invitation to participate in the XII International Economic Forum "Russia - the Islamic World: KazanSummit 2021".

It is important that on the sidelines of the event, the parties agreed, through the mediation of the Trade Representative Office in Kazan, to organize an exhibition of Kazakhstani manufacturers on the territory of the Kazan EXPO IEC in the period from 28 to 30 July this year.
