Dialogue with entrepreneurs

On April 6, 2021, at the site of the Public Reception of the Ministry of Trade and Integration, issues of trade with the EAEU member states were discussed with entrepreneurs of Kostanay, North Kazakhstan and Pavlodar regions.

The meeting of the Public Reception was held with the support of NCE Atameken and the regional Chambers of Entrepreneurs.

During the meeting, Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration Zhanel Kushukova informed the Kazakh business about the current trends of cooperation with partners in the EAEU.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the elimination of barriers to trade with the EAEU countries, dispute resolution procedures when countries establish barriers and restrictions.

Business representatives reported on the existing obstacles to trade with the EAEU countries. In particular, questions were raised about the restrictions on the movement of labor established as part of the fight against the pandemic, the duration of obtaining special permits for the transportation of oversized cargo on the territory of the Russian Federation, and others.

Along with this, the special conditions for the export of dairy products to the Russian Federation since July of this year under the conditions of the introduction of labeling have been explained to dairy producers.

To address the issues raised by the Kazakh business, the Ministry of Trade and Integration will conduct additional necessary activities with entrepreneurs, government agencies and negotiations at the EEC site.

In general, the first meeting of the Public Reception demonstrates the high interest of business in such a dialogue in order to quickly jointly resolve problematic issues in trade with partners in the EAEU.

The next meeting of the Public Reception is planned to be held on April 14, 2021 with entrepreneurs of Aktobe, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan and Mangistau regions.
