Kaneshev, Chairman of the Board of JSC “NC“KAZAKH INVEST” Yusupov M., representatives of the Ministries of Trade and Integration, Industry and Infrastructure development, Energy, as well as employees of JSC "KAZAKH INVEST" and QazTrade attended the webinar.

The purpose of the meeting was to form a vision for the further development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic. Kazakhstan perceives the Czech Republic as an important hub for access to the markets of Eastern and Central Europe. This position is confirmed by the actively working Kazakhstan-Czech intergovernmental commission.

Despite the decline in trade indicators in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, according to QazTrade, the total potential for increasing non-commodity exports to the Czech Republic is 654.8 million USD, including in the field of agriculture - 28.4 million USD. USA and industrial exports - $ 626.4 million. In order to increase the export of non-commodity products to foreign markets, the Ministry of Trade and Integration has provided incentives for exporters, and works on assisting companies in sending sample products to counter-partners.

Expanding supply markets and increasing the volume of exports of Kazakhstan’s products is a priority for Ministry of Trade and Integration and QazTrade.

QazTrade has prepared a pool of exporters whose products are in demand in the markets of China and the EAEU.

Thanks to the implementation of the Export Acceleration Program, 35 companies of the food industry are ready to supply seed-oils, salt, honey, pasta and flour products to the European market.

The producer of honey LLP "Lepsinsk Onimі" has passed the certification of products according to EU standards. At the same time, highest quality dry mare and camel milk produced are in high demand.

Within the program of getting access to international electronic trading platforms, today about 4000 names of Kazakhstan’s products are presented on Alibaba.com.

Today, Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic have a number of areas with high potential for cooperation. For example, as part of the tasks for a large-scale revision of environmental legislation, with adoption of the new Environmental Code, Kazakhstan is actively developing the waste management industry. The Czech Republic has already transitioned from a stage of transit-economy to an economy that meets all European standards, and can share its experience in the implementation of waste recycling technologies and the transition to modern green economy principles. The two countries can also implement joint projects in the field of renewable energy sources.

Kazakhstan’s pilots can get training and certification based on Czech educational institutions and an aviation industry.

National agencies are also working on attraction of Czech investors in the field of mechanical engineering and subsoil use. The Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Czech Republic is ready to provide all the necessary support for the dissemination of information materials on the investment potential of industrial sectors of Kazakhstan, as well as assist in the promotion of Kazakhstan’s non- commodity goods on the Czech market.
