A meeting of the Regional Export Council was held in Petropavlovsk with the participation of more than 80 export-oriented companies, Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev, Deputy Akim of the region Zhandarbek Dauren, Director-General of "QazTrade" JSC under the Ministry of Trade and Integration Azamat Askaruly and representatives of KazakhExport.
The volume of exports of the North Kazakhstan region in 2020 amounted to 244.9 million U.S. dollars. Goods, works and services are exported to more than 20 countries worldwide. The main volume of exports accounts for countries such as Russia, Uzbekistan, China and Afghanistan.
Three companies of the region ("Molproduct" LLP, "Petropavlovsk Heavy Engineering Plant" JSC, "BIO Operations" LLP) are represented on the Alibaba platform: they received a "Gold Supplier" account within the program for the promotion of Kazakhstani exports through international marketplaces. Last year, three companies ("Molproduct" LLP, "BIO Operations" LLP, and "Raduga" LLP) participated in the export acceleration program from the North Kazakhstan region.
"Last year, 16 exporting companies of the region received state support in the form of compensation for part of export costs to 807 million tenge. This is despite the fact that there are dozens of export-oriented enterprises in the region. We see a similar situation in other oblasts: many entrepreneurs do not receive state support not because they don't want it, but because they simply don't know about its availability",- commented Azamat Askaruly, Director-General of QazTrade.
He presented to the exporting enterprises of the region the whole range of measures of state support for exporters. Informing that almost all of them since this year are concentrated in QazTrade.
"QazTrade is an operator authorized by the Ministry of Trade and Integration to develop and promote exports of non-resource products. Our task is the maximum support for enterprises oriented to foreign markets", - Askaruly said.
He said that QazTrade provides both cost reimbursement for exporters and non-financial support measures for producers of domestic products: from diagnostics of the company and assessment of its export capabilities to the provision of quality analytics and consulting services. For example, as part of the Export Acceleration Program, 35 food processing companies were trained to enter the Chinese market. QazTrade staff together with international experts not only taught business representatives the "fine points" of working with the Chinese market, but also helped to find buyers of Kazakh products in China.
As part of the digitization of all business processes, all support services for exporters have been transferred online since this year.
"Now entrepreneurs do not have to go to government agencies, but rather use a single window - the export.gov.kz portal. If you have operational questions, the @exportgov telegram channel and the @qaztradebot telegram bot are at your service. The bot will quickly find you information on topics: how to get into the "Export Acceleration" program, all about getting reimbursements or other financial support measures, how to get to marketplaces or public procurement of other countries. Here you can also leave your appeal or ask a question", - informed Askaruly.
In the framework of the meeting, entrepreneurs of the region asked many questions. Among other things, they were interested in the work of the Ministry of Trade and Integration to remove barriers to our goods in the markets of the EAEU countries, update technical regulations of the Eurasian Union and Kazakhstan, as well as the fight against counterfeiting and substandard imports.
