NOW, EXPORTERS CAN APPLY FOR COST RECOVERY THROUGH A NEW SERVICE ON THE "SBERBUSINESS" PLATFORM.»

This was made possible thanks to the interaction of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the DB of Sberbank Kazakhstan JSC. Today, on February 4, 2021, the departments signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

At the moment, the state reimburses part of the costs of transportation of goods, advertising and participation in exhibitions to Kazakhstani manufacturers-exporters. Financial support will also be directed to the maintenance of representative offices, retail space, warehouses and retail shelves abroad. In addition, manufacturers will be reimbursed for part of the costs of trademark registration procedures, obtaining franchising permits, and passing certification and accreditation.

"The application of the mechanism for reimbursement of part of the costs to exporters was first held in the 2nd quarter of 2019. But in the course of these procedures, we encountered a number of difficulties in terms of paperwork. At the same time, the idea to bring the processes to digital services appeared. The pandemic also dictates its own rules: entrepreneurs do not always have the opportunity to quickly submit documents. Now you can apply for a refund without leaving your home or office-online, in an interactive mode, track all the stages of its consideration and approval, " said the Minister of Trade and Integration Bakhyt Sultanov.

"The main goal of the Memorandum is to develop export opportunities for domestic producers, as well as to stimulate the growth of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and foreign countries. To do this, we are ready to offer the best solutions. Today, on February 4, a service for cost recovery to exporters was launched on the SberBusiness platform for comfortable interaction between business and the state. All applications will be integrated into the export portal of Kazakhstan export.gov.kz. Among other things, such useful tools are available on the SberBusiness online platform as: obtaining favorable rates in the FX platform, registering currency contracts, sending currency transfers up to 10 minutes in the PJSC group, and much more, " said Eldar Tenizbayev, Chairman of the Management Board of SB Sberbank JSC.

Despite the constant development of state programs and active cooperation with STB in this direction, such a digital service has been introduced for the first time. Its launch should contribute to the prompt resolution of issues between entrepreneurs and the state.

Analogs of such a business support program are successfully operating in Canada, Australia, Russia, the United States and Germany. The development of the SME sector is a global priority, and Kazakhstan is no exception. Small and medium-sized businesses are one of the main drivers of the development of the Republic's economy, one of the first to suffer from the consequences of the coronacrisis and in need of support.

 

For information, JSC "Center for Trade Policy Development "QazTrade" - the operator of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the promotion of domestic processed goods to foreign markets - has already announced the start of accepting applications for reimbursement of part of the costs in the period from January 26 to June 1, 2021.
