On the eve of the holiday, on December 15, 2020, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Trade and Integration Bakhyt Sultanov, an event for employees of the Ministry dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held online on the ZOOM platform.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry, the central office, territorial departments, subordinate organizations, as well as the Chairman of the Public Council on Trade and Integration D. V. Stepantsev.

The event was moderated by Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nupirov Zhanibek. He noted that this year one of the directions of the Ministry's work was the openness of the state body. Meetings with the public, meetings of the MIT Public Council, as well as participation in an industry meeting with NGOs at the IX Civil Forum were held.

In turn, the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sultanov Bakhyt made a welcoming speech and congratulated the staff on the Independence Day of the country. He recalled that 29 years ago the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR adopted the law "On independence and Sovereignty of the state".

"In this critical period for the post-Soviet countries, we did not know what the path of our country would be. The generation that survived the difficulties of that time can confirm how confused people were. Everyone had questions: what to do? How to live? what to live on? After all, on December 16, 1991, Kazakhstan began a completely new history. I want to quote the words of the First President of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev "We became the founders and pioneers of the Kazakh era of the ascent of the nation," Bakhyt Sultanov said.

as he noted, the ministry is facing the implementation of significant initiatives: the national project for trade development, orc and nts, improving the system of consumer protection, digital projects.

He also noted that the success of any independent nation is always associated with the leader who determined the strategic course of the country at the stage of state formation. After all, if the foundation of a young, fast-growing country is successfully laid, the people will certainly receive dividends in the form of affordable and high-quality education, health care, and infrastructure.
