Low-quality products will be withdrawn from the market-Bakhyt Sultanov

Today, October 26, 2020, Minister of trade and integration Bakhyt Sultanov spoke at a briefing in the Central communications Service (CCS).
He spoke about the role of the trade Department in the implementation of the September Address of the President of the country, explained what the tasks of the Ministry of trade and integration are, as well as how the situation will change from the steps taken in trade and exports.
- In General, within the framework of the draft law "on technical regulation", we are solving an important task - to" whitewash " the domestic market and defend the competitive advantages of domestic producers, - the Minister of trade said. - Unscrupulous manufacturers and low-quality imports will be strictly monitored and removed from the market.
- To do this, we are implementing a rapid response mechanism as a form of state control. In other words, the product will be checked, not its implementer. And if it turns out to be of poor quality, it will be automatically withdrawn from the market.
At the same time, according to the Minister, "we are working to abolish regulations that contain excessive requirements for business that are not related to the safety of products and processes."
- This year, the Ministry has actively started work on introducing new areas in the field of accreditation. 15 areas of accreditation are being studied, such as good laboratory practice (GLP), good agricultural practice (Global G. A. P.), Halal, organic products, supply chain security, biobanking, etc., the Minister said about innovations in the field of standards.
The process of implementing new directions consists of two consecutive stages.
At the first stage, it is necessary to create infrastructure, i.e. train leading appraisers, create a national regulatory framework; at the second stage, it is necessary to accredit certification bodies and laboratories.
The introduction of these accreditation schemes will help improve the quality of products and processes, and increase the competitiveness of domestic manufacturers.
