Kazakhstanis will have a "digital social wallet"

Today, October 26, 2020, Minister of trade and integration Bakhyt Sultanov spoke at a briefing in the Central communications Service (CCS).
He spoke about the role of the trade Department in the implementation of the September Address of the President of the country, explained what the tasks of the Ministry of trade and integration are, as well as infrastructure and digital projects in trade and export, how they fit together and their benefits for the country.
As the Minister of trade noted, the creation of a national commodity distribution system with integration into similar systems of the EAEU countries and the Central Asian region is an important task of the Head of state.
The NTS will become the main infrastructure of the Eurasian food hub.
In Kazakhstan, it will consist of 24 wholesale distribution centers that are designed to provide a full range of services for the conservation and redistribution of farm products.
The creation of such centers will allow consolidating the efforts of many farms, including private farms, in the purchase of raw materials, production and sale of products. And at the same time, it will provide the entire vertical of agricultural producers with guaranteed sales of goods and revenue growth.
In General, the NTS will act as an anchor infrastructure for combining farmers, buyers, transport workers, sellers and consumers into a cluster.
The project is already entering the stage of practical implementation. In early October, a business consortium of companies interested in the construction of the first 7 orcs came to the Ministry with a private financial initiative.
These facilities will be located in the village of Michurino and Aksu city of Pavlodar region, Kapchagay city of Almaty region, Shu city of Zhambyl region, as well as in the cities of Nur-Sultan, Shymkent and Almaty.
We plan to carry out work on attracting private investors to 17 wholesale and logistics centers by the end of next year.
The "digital social wallet" of a Kazakhstani citizen will become a functional feature of the commodity distribution system. The message of this Year also instructs to work out its implementation.
As explained by Minister Sultanov, the purpose of implementing the " digital wallet "is to track the targeted use of budget resources allocated to citizens for social assistance, on the one hand, and their" return " in the form of hidden support to domestic producers, on the other hand.
In other words, a digital wallet is designed to pay for socially significant goods, works, or services that our business sells.
He showed the relationship by example:
- The mechanism of the NTS is to efficiently and quickly deliver products to the buyer, as they say, "from the field to the counter", as well as save it. The effect that the consumer gets in this case is a product without extra charges and in the best quality. And citizens who receive social assistance will be able to buy these domestic goods through a special cashless payment system, actually sending money directly to farmers. So, joining mutually beneficial interest in each other-the producer and the consumer, we close a kind of circle of commodity and money turnover through the NTS.
- We carry out this work as part of our digital projects. To coordinate the work on behalf of the Prime Minister, we have created a joint working group with the ministries of labor, digitalization, Finance, the National Bank and public organizations of the financial sector, "the Minister said about the progress of work on the" social wallet".
