The Ministry of trade will annually prepare 100 new companies for export

Today, October 26, 2020, Minister of trade and integration Bakhyt Sultanov spoke at a briefing in the Central communications Service (CCS).
He spoke about the role of the trade Department in the implementation of the September Address of the President of the country, explained what the tasks of the Ministry of trade and integration are, as well as what and why the Department will take action.
- Unfortunately, there are very few regular exporters in the country today – just under 2 % of the total number of companies or 445 entities. At the same time, we are glad that 81% of them are representatives of small and medium – sized businesses. And their share is growing from year to year, " Sultanov said. - Exporters are mainly concentrated in three million-plus cities: Almaty, Nur-Sultan and Shymkent.
At the same time, he added that the least export-oriented region is Aktobe. Which seems to be industrial, but is focused on low-conversion products.
In his September Address, the President focused on the need to nurture new exporters. And he instructed to launch an export acceleration program for non-resource producers.
Therefore, as the Minister said, " together with the international partner PricewaterhouseCoopers, we have launched such a program."
- This year, we have chosen China as the target market as the most complex in terms of requirements, but at the same time huge in terms of opportunities, - said the head of the Department.
35 food industry enterprises aimed at exporting to China were selected from 500 companies that expressed their desire to participate in the accelerator.
By November this year, these companies will have completed their in-depth training and will have the necessary export competencies. We are working to find Chinese buyers of Kazakh products and prepare online business meetings with them. Accelerator participants will also present their products at the 3rd international Chinese exhibition of imported goods and services in Shanghai.
The Minister of trade drew attention to the fact that the video of all training seminars is available to a wide range of users on the website and pages in social networks of the Ministry and QazTrade.
He called on entrepreneurs who are already working with China or are just thinking about entering the Chinese market to watch these video lessons:
- I am sure that they will be useful to all interested businessmen. Moreover, experts working in China make their recommendations during these meetings.
In addition, the Minister said ," our task is to train 100 new companies every year, and by 2025 to increase the number of regular exporters to 1000.
Therefore, we will continue to implement the export acceleration program in other target markets and industries in the coming years. The focus will be on timely identification and prompt response to emerging problems in the export of Kazakh products.".
