Results of the meeting of the Industry Council of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology on professional standards

The Industry Council for Professional Qualifications in Technical Regulation and Metrology held a regular meeting. The meeting addressed the approved professional standards "Standardizer" and "Metrologist"; the professional standards "Confirmation of Elevator Conformity," approved by Order No. 270 of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 30, 2019; "Quality Management," approved by Order No. 263 of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 26, 2019; the Register of Professions in Technical Regulation and Metrology; and a comprehensive analysis of the industries, taking into account the current status, personnel needs, challenges, and development trends.

Following the meeting, the Industry Council members unanimously decided to retire the professional standard "Confirmation of Conformity of Elevators," update the professional standard "Quality Management," and update the Register of Professions in Technical Regulation and Metrology to include the following profession cards: chief metrologist, measuring instrument verifier, and technical expert on standardization.

Work is currently underway to establish a Working Group to update the professional standard "Quality Management," approved by Order No. 263 of the NCE RK dated December 26, 2019.
