According to Yernur Zhautikbayev, Deputy Chairman of the Trade Committee of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a number of measures have been taken to regulate market activities. Specifically, national standards for trade services have been developed and implemented. Uniform requirements have been established for all processes, including sanitary, fire safety, and urban planning, as well as safety and comfort requirements for customers and entrepreneurs.
"The Rules for Internal Trade and the Operation of Trade Markets have been improved. The new version establishes mandatory compliance with standards and norms, the procedure for approving market regulations, requirements for administrators, and a uniform procedure for concluding lease agreements," the speaker said at a press conference at the Central Communications Service.
Furthermore, oversight of compliance with legislation and administrative enforcement measures has been strengthened. Risk assessment criteria and checklists have been revised, and 11 new requirements for markets have been added. This improves the effectiveness of inspections.
