Kazakh flour enters the US market

Kazakhstan has taken a breakthrough step in expanding food exports to the American market. The first batches are already being sold on Amazon. Fifty tons of wheat flour for the Eurasian Legacy brand were shipped to New York.

This is the first major export project implemented under the new strategy for promoting national products in the United States. With the support of QazTrade, a single export development operator under the Ministry of Technical Infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it is planned to increase shipment volumes to over 100 tons of flour monthly. The product is already listed on major online platforms Amazon and Walmart, and is also available in several American bakeries.

On Amazon, it sells for $14.50 per 1.36 kg package. The packaging indicates its origin as "Product of Kazakhstan," enhancing brand recognition for "Made in Kazakhstan" among American consumers and building Kazakhstan's image as a supplier of high-quality and environmentally friendly products.

In addition to online sales, negotiations are already underway to supply the flour to restaurants, coffee shops, and local food chains. QazTrade is also considering expanding into major American retail chains Costco, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe's.

"We're not limiting ourselves to flour. We've already launched buckwheat, granola, talkan, chocolate, and cocoa in the US, and partners in New York, Chicago, and Washington have had the opportunity to experience their quality firsthand. Entering the US market became possible thanks to the opening of a QazTrade partner office in Washington, D.C., in July, giving us direct access to distributors and retailers. A business mission for Kazakhstani producers to these cities would be a logical next step. This is an opportunity not only to strengthen ties with partners but also to carve out a niche in the HoReCa segment, where natural and authentic products are valued," said Aitmukhammed Aldazharov, CEO of QazTrade.

If permanent contracts are established, we plan to organize regular deliveries of over 100 tons of flour monthly. This will allow Kazakhstan to occupy a significant niche in the US grain market, where demand for natural and certified products is traditionally high.
