Minister of trade and integration and head of EDB discussed prospects of cooperation

Minister of trade and integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov and Chairman Of the Board of the Eurasian development Bank (EDB) Nikolay Podguzov met today.

The parties discussed issues of cooperation, the current investment activity of the EDB in Kazakhstan and the implementation of new projects.

In particular, they discussed the possibility of implementing projects to deepen industrial cooperation by creating a trade and industrial hub for the entire region on the territory of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the issue of the EDB's participation in the project to create a national commodity distribution system and in projects under the Kazakhstan – Russia cross-border cooperation program was discussed.

The meeting participants also noted that the Ministry and the EDB have established a constructive dialogue and noted the need for its further development.

The parties agreed to hold meetings on a regular basis. And also determine the range of projects for joint implementation.

The Minister of trade and integration and the head of the EDB expressed confidence that the fruitful cooperation between the EDB and the Ministry of trade and integration of Kazakhstan will contribute to the Eurasian integration.
