THE COURT GRANTED THE SIXTH CLAIM OF THE COMMITTEE ON CONSUMER PROTECTION TO THE AIRLINE "BEK AIR"

On June 30, 2022, the Committee on Consumer Protection  of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) filed the sixth lawsuit against Bek Air JSC (Turksib District Court of Almaty).

In the sixth claim, the Committee represents the interests of 53 people, where the amount of the claim is 3,073,441 (three million seventy-three thousand four hundred and forty-one) tenge.

On July 11, 2022, the Turksib District Court of Almaty granted the Committee's claim for recovery of the above amount from BEK AIR JSC.

According to the decision of the Turksib District Court of Almaty, BEK AIR JSC is obliged to reimburse consumers for the full cost of previously purchased air tickets for flights that were canceled through no fault of consumers.

Earlier, the Turksib Court of Almaty satisfied five claims of the Committee against the airline JSC "Bek Air".

Currently, documents are being prepared to initiate the seventh lawsuit due to the fact that consumer claims of violation of their rights continue to arrive.
