EKO held an online meeting on the procedure for determining the country of origin of goods

On September 5, this year, an online meeting on determining the country of origin of goods was held in Ust-Kamenogorsk in order to issue an expert report on the origin of goods for internal circulation. Experts-auditors on determining the country of origin of goods of expert organizations took part.

The meeting was opened and was the head DCTRL EKR - B. K. Kanapianov, paying special attention to the increasing responsibility of experts-auditors during the examination of origin of goods, preparation of conclusions with the aim of issuing the examination report for internal circulation.

In his speech, the head of the Department announced information on the preparation of a package of changes to the "on approval of the Rules for determining the country of origin of goods, issuing a certificate of origin and canceling its validity" dated February 24, 2015, No. 155 regarding the examination of documents on the origin of goods. Also, amendments to article 417 of the administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan in terms of strengthening the responsibility of expert auditors on the origin of goods and applicants for providing false information about the product.

The head of the Department answered the questions of those present, demonstrated openness to consultations and explanations on the application of the Rules.

The invited experts-auditors expressed their hope to organize such events with a review of other issues of compliance with the requirements of the Rules, as well as changes to it that are coming into force.

As a result of the meeting, it was decided to hold a meeting with the applicant companies to obtain a certificate of ST KZ, as well as authorized persons of the PP of East Kazakhstan region to issue a certificate of origin.
