OPERATION OF THE INTERNET-RESOURSE VIMEO IN KAZAKHSTAN WAS RESTARTED

Administration of the Internet resource vimeo.com reported on deleting of materials that violate the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to the Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Communication, Informatization and Information of MID RK Dmitry Goloburda on October 14 this year, access to the Internet resource vimeo.com users from the Republic of Kazakhstan restarted.

 

 

Let us remember, the Committee in the course of monitoring on an Internet resource vimeo.com identified a number of videos that contain propaganda of terrorism and religious extremism ideas, as well as the cult of cruelty and violence.

 

 

In particular, on the indicated resource were distributed the video materials of the international terrorist organization "Islamic State" about committed mass executions of 30 Ethiopian Christians, 10 soldiers of the Syrian Air Force and civilians, which contained scenes of brutal murders of hostages adherents of radical terrorist groups.

 

 

Based on the decision of Yessil district court of Astana city dated September 7, 2015, the Committee took several measures to restrict an access to users from the Republic of Kazakhstan to this resource. At the same time to the address of administration of the resource vimeo.com was sent a notification letter on measures taken to restrict an access based on enforceable court decision and the need to remove the illegal material.

 

 

From «Vimeo LLC» company was received an official response of taken measures on deleting all specified video materials in the court decision and readiness for cooperation. As a result of repeated monitoring access to the resource was restarted.
