THE BEST YOUNG METROLOGIST OF KAZAKHSTAN IN 2020 HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED!

For the first time, the competition "Best young metrologist of 2020"was held in a remote online format via the ZOOM app on June 19, 2020. This competition is celebrated annually on may 20, but due to the spread of coronavirus infection, the state of emergency in the country and the subsequent long quarantine, the competition was postponed to a later date.

The competition was approved by the Committee of technical regulation and Metrology of the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to support and encourage young metrologists, develop creative abilities and train qualified personnel in the field of Metrology.

In the fight for prizes, participants passed two stages of the competition. At the first stage, participants were selected and the scientific papers submitted were evaluated by experts. The expert Commission considered 14 applications, evaluating the work on the following criteria: relevance of the topic, scientific novelty, originality, quality of design, scientific approach and validity, continuity of research, personal contribution of the author and practical significance.

In the second phase, the expert Committee heard the presentations of the contestants and evaluated by the following criteria: quality of reporting, quality of presentation, independent execution of the study, the author's contribution.

The solemn online event was opened by the General Director of the RSE "Kazakhstan Institute of Metrology" Tokanov T. D., wishing success to the participants of the competition. The event was attended by the best specialists and experts in the field of Metrology in Kazakhstan, namely, the Chairman of the Association of legal entities "Kazakhstan Association of conformity assessment bodies" Sutemgenov D. B., head of the Department of "Standardization and certification" of The L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University Baizhozhaeva B. W., head of Department "Standardization, Metrology and certification" Kazakh agrotechnical University S. Seifullin, B. Kurmangalieva D., chief metrologist of the Ulba metallurgical plant Semenov V. F., chief metrologist industrial complex "Kazzinc-Automation" J. R. Nugumanov, as well as the management and staff of the RSE "KazInMetr".

The long-awaited results of the competition were announced.

The winner of the contest "Best young metrologist of 2020" was Mamyrbek N. K., head of the Department for verification and calibration of ionizing radiation measuring instruments of the Almaty branch of the national center for expertise and sefrtification JSC, who presented a report on " Development of a secondary standard for radionuclide activity units, flow and density of alpha and beta particles»;

2nd place was awarded to Musatayev M. Zh., technical Director of Mangilik El Innovations LLP for a report on " analysis of uncertainty of measurement results of coordinate measuring machines in different temperature conditions»;

The youngest participant of the competition, the talented engineer Imali A. K., who is a specialist of laboratory # 2 RSE "KazInMetr", was awarded third place for the report on "Dispersely of thalgau arily anytimeand babymen standarty lglen of attestatio".

The winners and participants of the competition will be awarded diplomas, memorable gifts and letters of thanks.

According to established practice, the winner of the "Best young metrologist of 2020" contest will represent Kazakhstan at the prestigious international competition "Best young metrologist of COOMET". This competition is held every two years and will be held in Germany in 2021. The organizer of this competition is the regional metrological organization of Euro-Asian cooperation of national metrological institutions.
