REALIZATION OF TRAINS-HOTELS PROJECT WAS DISCUSSED IN MID RK

The hotel on wheels is scheduled to be launched next year in Kazakhstan. The initiator of the project, which was presented in MID RK is acting «Turan Express» Railway Passenger Company.

The initiators have no doubt in success of the project. In 2013 the company has already organized special tourist trains operating in a loop Almaty – Alakol lake - Dostyk. Demand for these tourist routes was high. Therefore, the company decided to expand the geography of movement and range of services. In particular, the project provides multiple routes to historical and cultural places of Kazakhstan and Central Asia by train, consisting of cars of «Grand De Luxe» class, sleeping-coach, compartments and other;

«We can form a tourist train, which will be simultaneously «hotel on wheels» and serve the tourist railway route Khorgos-Аlmaty-Таraz-Shymkent-Тurkestan-Кyzylorda-Baikonur with an obligatory visit to the capital city – Astana» - said Roman Botabekov, General Director of «Turan Express» Company.

Initiator of the project is keeping in view on government support in terms of tax incentives, transportation subsidizing, concessional lending.

In its turn, the ministry reported that in the near future the possibility of state support measures, including through the development institutions will be considered.

«This kind of trips, especially within the «Silk Road» Program would be useful for students during the holidays. This is an additional knowledge of history and culture of its people, and solution of organization question of children summer holidays» - said the Minister Asset Issekeshev.
