 OPEN DAY, TIMED TO THE "WORLD METROLOGY DAY"

May 18, 2017 in Taldykorgan held an Open Day, timed to the World Metrology Day, which is celebrated annually by the metrological community of the world.

May 20, 1875 in Paris at an international diplomatic conference signed an international document "Metric Convention" - to ensure the uniformity of measurements based on the application of the metric system of measures, the establishment of an international system of units of measurement and measurement standards units of values.

The Republic of Kazakhstan is a member of the Metric Convention since 2006. Metrology is the most accurate science and the science of accuracy itself.

The main goals and objectives of metrology are to study all aspects of measurements of physical quantities. And also international assistance in the field of metrology and legislative elements.

Modern metrology is divided into such areas as:

• Theoretical metrology - a section of metrology that studies general theoretical measurement problems;

• Legal metrology is one of the sections of metrology that combines complexes of generally accepted rules, norms, requirements and other issues requiring control and regulation by the state. The study of these aspects is aimed at metrological assurance of the uniformity of measurements and monotony of measuring instruments;

• applied metrology - the metrology section, which considers the application of metrological methods and measuring instruments in practice;

• Historical metrology;

Unity of measurements - a set of measures taken, in which the results of measurements are expressed in generally accepted legal units of measurement and the measurement error does not exceed the established standards with the probability taken into account;

Measurement means is a device intended for measurement.

Metrological service - the subject of management, control and regulation of types of work aimed at ensuring the uniformity and uniformity of measurements.

Verification of the measuring instrument - a set of measures performed by the objects of the state metrological service with the aim of confirming compliance of the SI with the technical requirements established by GOST.

Calibration of the measuring instrument is a set of measures taken to confirm and determine the current values of metrological characteristics and (or) the validity of the SI that is not subject to mandatory state control and metrological supervision.
