Kazakh-Georgian Cooperation

Within the framework of developing international cooperation, specialists from the Branch of the RSE "National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan"  Larisa Kushakova, Dinara Kasymova, and Evgeny Startsev, visited JSC "RMG Copper" (Tbilisi, Georgia). The institute has maintained mutually beneficial relations with this company for over a decade.

In the period of 2016-2017, the institute conducted comprehensive work on the Madneuli group of deposits in Georgia. Kazakh mining specialists developed a technological regulation for the extraction and processing of ore. Based on the research on the enrichability of low-sulfide copper ore conducted at the institute's processing laboratories, a regulation for the recommended heap leaching technology was prepared, under which the enterprise has successfully operated to this day. The latest joint efforts involve research on processing lead-zinc ore from the Bektakar deposit in Georgia. Our scientists made constructive suggestions and recommendations for modernizing the plant's technological scheme, which helped to improve the indicators for precious metals.

During the visit, the parties discussed pressing issues related to the performance of current tasks and visited the Madneuli processing plant. As a result of the meeting, both sides formed a mutual opinion on the necessity to enhance further cooperation and outlined prospective directions of interaction.
