The reconstruction of the four-lane section of the Nur-Sultan-Petropavlovsk highway will be completed in autumn 2020

Work continues on the reconstruction of the Nur-Sultan-Petropavlovsk highway section, the section of the entrance to the city of Kokshetau, km 282-289. The project provides for the transfer from the third to the 1st technical category with four-lane traffic.

In this road-building season, the general contractor, Kazakhdorstroy LLP, will have to complete the installation of 6.5 km of the full constructive structure on the right side and 6.5 km of the upper layer of pavement from crushed stone-mastic asphalt concrete on the left side of the road. To ensure traffic safety, 69 new road signs will be installed here, a metal barrier fence and road marking.

Last year, 6.5 km of the lower layer of coarse-grained asphalt concrete pavement was laid on the site in one direction, 10 culverts were installed and 3 km of snow protection fence were installed.

The site involved 39 units of road-construction equipment, 120 people, 60% of which are local people. To date, work is carried out ahead of schedule. The completion of the project is planned in the autumn of 2020.

Let us remind that the total length of the Nur-Sultan-Petropavlovsk highway is 324 km.
