Over 1,500 violations were identified by the National Center for Quality of Road Assets for the first quarter of 2020

RSE “National Center for the Quality of Road Assets” of the Committee for Roads of the MIID RK summed up the results of work for 3 months. During this period, specialists made 1398 trips and revealed 1522 violations, most of which were related to the quality of winter maintenance of roads.

 

Thus, the mobile laboratories of the center traveled to the road sections of republican significance 1294 times. The total length of the surveyed sites amounted to more than 27 thousand kilometers. So, 582 objects were inspected on republican roads in 3 months. As a result, 1386 inconsistencies were identified. 579 letters were sent to contracting organizations to eliminate these violations.

 

In the first quarter of 2020, more than 4,500 kilometers of local roads were also tested. The laboratories made 104 visits and revealed 136 violations at the facilities.

 

Let us remind that in 2019, on the basis of a decree of the Government of Kazakhstan, the “National Center for the Quality of Road Assets” was created by merging 16 RSU “Oblzhollaboratory”. The purpose of the Center is to check the quality of not only roads of national importance, but also the local road network, management of road assets, monitoring the level of road safety, as well as the introduction of new technologies and materials.

 

It is worth noting that in the first year of work, the Center carried out more than 8 thousand visits as part of the work performed to assess the quality of work and materials on public roads. More than 5 thousand violations were revealed, more than 12 thousand samples of building materials were selected and tested.
