In 2020, the bypass road around Karaganda will be equipped with fences and lighting

In December last year, traffic along the “Bypass of Karaganda” highway and the “Karaganda-Temirtau” section of km 1444-1457.4 was opened. The official commissioning of the projects is scheduled for 2020, in the upcoming construction season, the road workers will need to install a barrier fencing and lighting.

Reconstruction of 14 kilometers of the Temirtau-Karaganda highway began in 2017. A year later, the builders started the 47-kilometer project "Bypass of Karaganda", which includes the Northern and Eastern bypasses of the city. The work is carried out by 2 General contracting organizations - Daulet Dorstroy LLP and Sine Midas Stroy LLP.

As part of the reconstruction of the Northern and Eastern bypasses, 7 transport interchanges were built in the directions from Karaganda to Almaty, Nur-Sultan, Pavlodar and East Kazakhstan regions.

Also, an overpass was built over the railway and the Solonka river with a length of 232 linear meters and 64 units of culverts were installed. In the upcoming construction season, the project will involve 306 units of equipment and 670 people.

Now the new road belongs to the 1st category and has 4 lane traffic. The route goes around Karaganda and so allows to unload the city from transit vehicles and heavy trucks. According to experts, the number of such vehicles in the sections reaches more than 20 thousand per day.

Let us remind that in the Karaganda region the length of roads of republican significance is 2262.6 km, more than 80% of them are in good and satisfactory condition.
