Construction of a traffic intersection along the Kulzhinsky tract at the intersection with Bukhtarminskaya Street, which should, first of all, reduce traffic jams in this direction and the environmental burden on the city, as well as increase the mobility of citizens, continues in Almaty.
The project was launched in July last year. During this time, the road builders made the foundation and cover from the sand-gravel and crushed stone-sand mixtures of the ramps at 550 meters, also made aryk trays and temporarily fenced the territory of the construction site.
The project provides for the construction of a transport interchange on three levels with a 570-meter tunnel section along Bukhtarminskaya street, a 783-meter overpass along the Kulzhinsky tract, and a ramp section at their intersection for the organization of circular traffic.
The General contractor is "Bazis Construction" LLP. The cost of the project amounts to 20.2 billion tenge. The transport interchange should relieve the North-Eastern part of Almaty. Throughput is expected to increase by 15-20%. Completion of construction according to the agreement is scheduled for February 2022.
Let us remind that in December 2019, the transport interchange along the Kuldzhinsky tract at the intersection with Ryskulov Avenue was put into operation. The overpass in a monolithic design with a tensioned armature with a length of 860 meters was also built by "Bazis Construction" LLP for 20.3 billion tenge. It is worth noting that the two-level interchange meets high standards of safety and seismicity.
