During the IX Moscow Conference on International Security, a bilateral meeting of the defense ministers of Kazakhstan and Russia was held.

Nurlan Yermekbayev and Sergey Shoigu discussed issues of further strengthening of bilateral cooperation.

During the conversation, some issues of the international situation were touched upon, including the situation in Afghanistan and measures to ensure security in Central Asia.
