Bakytzhan Sagintayev: The development of Almaty will be done on the principle of "a city without suburbs"

During the working visit to the Alatau district , B.Sagintayev found out about the construction of transport infrastructure, housing, modernization of energy complex facilities, discussed the development of fire service, as well as ensuring the safety of children's playgrounds, in particular, trampolines.

An urgent issue for the city is the development of a network of bus routes. To this end, the construction of a municipal fleet number 3 for 200 buses and a private carrier base for 130 buses is underway. Issues of industry, route subsidies, rolling stock renewal and training of drivers and other specialists were discussed with company leaders.

“Buses are being updated, the demands of citizens for the quality of services are growing, and accordingly the personnel of carriers must be qualified. The issue of the shortage of drivers, mechanics, electricians and other specialists needs to be addressed in cooperation with colleges, ”said Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

On behalf of the Head of State Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev, the issues of providing housing for representatives of socially weak groups of the population and infrastructure development are being addressed. The city governor emphasized that micro-districts must be developed on the principle of polycentricity, so that within walking distance there is all the necessary social infrastructure.

“There is no square, no clinic, or a store. Therefore, I instruct the Office of the comfortable urban environment in subsequent projects to provide for social facilities on the first floors, ”said Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

When visiting CHPP-2, the governor of the city reported on the options developed to reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere. B.Sagintayev instructed the relevant services to analyze all the options and make specific proposals as soon as possible.

Today, roads are being built in 13 microdistricts in Alatau district, on 442 streets, 118 km long. It is planned to repair 24 streets with a length of 23.6 km.
