Press release on the International Monetary Funds mission from October 10-21, 2022 to provide technical assistance on government finance statistics

During the mission of experts of the International Monetary Fund with the staff of the Department of Reporting and Statistics and Public Finance discussed issues of further improvement of the reporting of the Republic of Kazakhstan on government finance statistics and direction of strengthening further interdepartmental cooperation with the Bureau of National Statistics on statistics of national Accounts and with the National Bank on balance of payments statistics.

The mission of the International Monetary Fund confirmed the compliance of the reporting on government finance statistics with the basic fundamentals, accounting principles, classification of the Government Finance Statistics Manual for 2014, transition tables and procedures.

The International Monetary Fund has presented a technical assessment and recommendations on government finance statistics and has adopted an intention for further cooperation and technical assistance.
