Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan switches to a new digital architecture

Vice Minister of Finance Yerzhan Birzhanov presented new digital projects of the Ministry based on changes in digital architecture. Speaking at the Center for Electronic Finance (CEF), he spoke in detail about projects that change tax administration and interaction with business.

According to him, business activity has increased since the entry into force of the new Tax Code. Thus, more than 542 thousand taxpayers confirmed their activities under the simplified declaration, about 163 thousand individuals registered as self-employed, and over 8 thousand subjects registered as new VAT payers. This result is directly related to the digital transformation that the department is carrying out as part of the instructions of the Head of State.

The State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan has already completed the implementation of the new architecture by launching the Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS). The system provides document processing within a minute, high availability for millions of users and the ability to pre-fill declarations using Big Data data.

The e-Salyq Business mobile application has been adapted for entrepreneurs, a counterparty verification service has been introduced and an AI agent has been launched to promptly answer questions. The Smart Data Finance platform has been created, which aggregates information from 74 sources and allows you to proactively identify tax risks, including violations of cash discipline and tax evasion schemes. One of the first results is an increase in tax revenues at 145.8%.

Together with the National Bank, a pilot project "Digital VAT" is being implemented on the basis of digital tenge, which gives bona fide companies the opportunity to accelerate tax refunds in 5 working days. In the customs sphere, the Keden system is being gradually introduced, and artificial intelligence is used at checkpoints to analyze goods using inspection and inspection complexes, which speeds up procedures and reduces corruption risks.

The State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan organizes constant consultations in all regions of the country to clarify the norms of the new Tax Code. This work takes place within the framework of the "People's Accountant" campaign, which provides individual entrepreneurs and small businesses with free advice. During the campaign, business representatives can get accessible and practical explanations on accounting, filing tax reports and effective work with digital information systems.
