Vice Minister of Finance Dauren Kengbeil met met with the new Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission

The annual mission of the IMF to consult with the authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan is carried out in accordance with  the IMF Articles of Agreement.

The meeting was attended by the Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission to Kazakhstan Ali Al-Eyd, Senior Expert Gregorio Impavido, as well as other experts of the fund.

The Vice Minister expressed gratitude for the regular missions, targeted consultations and technical assistance of the IMF to to the government bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the execution of the republican budget for 2025, plans for 2026, as well as the progress of reforms in the fiscal sphere.

Special attention was paid to the issues of technical assistance from the IMF. In particular, bringing public finance statistics in line with international standards and increasing the transparency of budget data.
