The Treasury Committee has been officially renamed the State Treasury Committee

The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan announces the completion of the official re-registration of the Treasury Committee, which is now called the State Treasury Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This event is part of reforms aimed at increasing the transparency and efficiency of budgetary processes.

The new name emphasizes the Committee's important role in managing public finances and reflects the increased status of the government agency. It is important to note that the renaming does not entail an increase in the number of Committee staff or additional expenses for the state budget.

The renaming is provided for by the provisions of the new Budget Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (No. 171-VII), which came into force on March 15, 2025, and complies with the requirements of the Concept of Public Finance Management until 2030, approved by Decree of the President of the Republic No. 1005 of September 10, 2022.

The decision to rename the Committee was formalized by Order No. 565 of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 3, 2025, which introduced the relevant amendments and additions to the regulations on the Committee, previously approved by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan in December 2019.
