Digitalization of state finances: key initiatives presented at a meeting of the Public Council

On June 12, 2025, on the basis of the Center for Electronic Finance JSC, a visiting meeting of the Public Council on Public Finance was held, during which important issues were considered. Most of them concerned audit activities, the implementation of information projects of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The meeting was attended by the chairman and members of the Public Council, representatives of sectoral non-governmental organizations, as well as heads of structural divisions and departments of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Opening the meeting, Chairman of the Internal State Audit Committee Yerzhan Mynzhasarov spoke about the results of the committee's work for the reporting period, stressing the transition from post-audit to a preventive approach. He focused on digital transformation aimed at preventing and suppressing violations in real time.
Representatives of the Center for Electronic Finance JSC spoke about the current development of the organization. Thus, new digital services were demonstrated, the expansion of activities in the field of health care through the inclusion of special law subjects in the register, as well as other initiatives.
The main focus for 2025 is the development of the Digital Finance digital ecosystem with an emphasis on the introduction of artificial intelligence, Big Data technologies and cloud solutions. It is also planned to create digital profiles of participants in the budget process and export domestic IT solutions.
At the end of the meeting, the chairman and members of the Public Council expressed gratitude to the representatives of the Ministry of Finance for a constructive dialogue, openness to interaction and discussion of priority tasks for the digitalization of public financial management.
