Kazakhstan welcomes inter-Afghan negotiations in Doha

Kazakhstan welcomes the inter-Afghan negotiations, the opening ceremony of which was held on September 12 in Doha, Qatar. Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Afghanistan, Talgat Kaliyev, took part in this event through a video conference.

We hope that the Afghan-led, Afghan-owned peace process, supported by the international community, will be concluded with an agreement between the government of Afghanistan and the Taliban, which will meet the interests of all the  Afghan people.

Kazakhstan will continue to provide all possible assistance to the fraternal Afghan people in creating a sovereign and prosperous state.
