Kazakhstan and United States discuss countering terrorism and extremism

A videoconference was held between Talgat Kaliyev, the Special Representative of Kazakhstan’s President for Afghanistan - Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, and officials from the US State Department.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the state and prospects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the field of countering terrorism and extremism.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of social rehabilitation and reintegration of Kazakh citizens returning from combat zones.

The sides expressed satisfaction with the current interaction, agreeing to further maintain working relationships.
