UN Resident Coordinator completes his mission in Kazakhstan

NUR-SULTAN, 26 August 2020 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi received UN Resident Coordinator Norimasa Shimomura on the completion of his diplomatic mission in our country.

The diplomats emphasized mutual commitment of the parties to further enhance cooperation between Kazakhstan and the UN.

The UN representative was presented with a letter of gratitude on behalf of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Minister Tileuberdi expressed gratitude to the Resident Coordinator for his contribution to the development of relations with the UN, as well as for active support in promoting Kazakhstani initiatives at the UN.

In turn, Mr Shimomura thanked the Government of Kazakhstan for constructive cooperation and expressed confidence in the further development of strong and trusting relations between Kazakhstan and the UN.
